About Us

Hello, I'm Haydn Loader, I was a serving member of the armed forces for over 13 years and a qualified carpenter for 6 years. HL Woodwork was established in 2019 when i started making Christmas eve boxes, this was mainly just a hobby and a way to make a little extra money over Christmas. During our first lock down in 2020 the business took off unexpectedly and became more of a job than a hobby. This led to me to leave the British Army to become self employed on a full time basis. 

I completed a tiling course in January 2022 and a kitchen fitting course in September 2022. Both services are available to book. I love having a mixed workload of bespoke woodwork, tiling and kitchens, everyday is different.

I, of course, couldn't do all this alone. My wife, Nicola, handles the administration side of the business and the occasional painting of items. If i am busy in the workshop with orders then Nicola will be on hand to reply to messages. 

We have 3 children and 2 dogs so our home is very busy.
